Abortion is still legal in every state — but extremist lawmakers hostile to reproductive freedom are working hard to change that.

John, the near-total abortion ban just signed into law in Arkansas is a terrifying glimpse at what's happening all across the country. Republican-controlled state legislatures are trying to force through as many restrictions on abortion as they can in the hopes of a case eventually making it to the Supreme Court — and the Court’s anti-choice supermajority overturning Roe v. Wade forever.
