This is a clear violation of the law, yet Democrats in the legislature continue to protect him with their sham impeachment--and even voted to extend his emergency powers. Answer: Thank you for asking this important question, Inga and I couldn't agree with you more. While the sexual allegations made against Cuomo are serious, we cannot lose sight that thousands of people lost their lives at the hands of his corruption & mismanagement. We in the New York Republican Party have been working hard to keep the focus on nursing homes front and center in the news and will not rest until victims' families get justice and Cuomo is held accountable for his crimes.

Andrew Cuomo, Republicans say they are brimming with optimism over their chances of staging a comeback in New York in 2022. With less than 20 months to go before the Nov. 8, 2022, statewide election, many potential scenarios are being discussed, and the most informed people can only speculate as to who the major party nominees will be — and whether Cuomo will be a candidate himself.

Binghamton was just one of several stops on New York State GOP Chairman Nick Langworthy's tour to garner support for a Cuomo impeachment. At a press conference, he called out democratic legislative leaders, who he says are using their power to impeach as leverage to get their priority budget items passed. “The radical budget is being proposed simply because they're using it as leverage against a very weakened Andrew Cuomo," says Langworthy, "Carl Heastie is the speaker of the Assembly and Andrea Stewart Cousins the leader of the State Senate, they have the power, they have the votes, they could remove Andrew Cuomo tomorrow if they wanted to expedite the impeachment process. But they continue to protect Andrew Cuomo so that they can get their budget wishlists done."

New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo and New York Health Commissioner Howard Zucker directed health officials to prioritize the governor's own family and administration for testing in the early days of the coronavirus pandemic, according to a report. Family members who reportedly received preferential testing included Cuomo's brother, CNN anchor Chris Cuomo, as well as his mother and at least one of his sisters, the Albany Times-Union reported, citing sources with direct knowledge of the matter.
