Elizabeth Warren went on MSNBC to remind people about her plan to put a 2% tax on the top 1/10th of 1% of the wealthiest among us.
Let's be clear: Warren's plan would ONLY place a tax on families with fortunes of more than $50 million -- the other 99.9% of families in the country wouldn't be impacted. And her plan will bring in $3 TRILLION in revenue to expand healthcare, clean energy, childcare, and education in our country.
As Warren told Joy Reid, you couldn't ask for a better plan for taxes.
At a time when our nation's billionaires increased their wealth by an average of 44% during this pandemic while over 76 million Americans were forced into facing extreme financial insecurity, we couldn't agree more.
We're sick of billionaires exploiting our system -- and the Republicans who have created loopholes allowing their wealthy donors to do so.
Warren is about to go above and beyond in her fight for economic justice in our country. But she's facing a tough battle in our split Senate, so it's absolutely crucial that we make it known she has support from people like you all across the country.
