Friends, here are three things you need to know ahead of our FEC fundraising deadline next week:

1. As Americans have dealt with a global pandemic, they've also had to face a worsening gun violence crisis.
2. In order to prevent tragedies like the ones that took place in Atlanta or Boulder, we need the Senate to pass universal background checks.
3. The best way we can do that is by hitting our goals so we can keep the pressure on the Senate to act.

As we begin to look for a feeling of normalcy as more and more Americans are getting vaccinated, mass shootings should not become our new normal.

The House passed universal background checks this month, which means it's now crucial we push the Senate to pass a background checks bill as well. When lives are at stake, every moment matters. Which is why we need to ask:
