That's right -- as POLITICO reports, just 28 percent of Iowans want GOP Senator Chuck Grassley to run again. 55 percent want him gone -- including 35 percent of Republicans in the state.
We're not surprised that an incumbent with such a long record of slimy backroom tactics -- including tanking President Obama's nomination of Merrick Garland to the Supreme Court, sabotaging key legislation in the Senate, and giving Donald Trump a pass on inciting the Capitol insurrection -- would be so unpopular.
And right now is the most important part of our efforts -- because Grassley hasn't made it official yet that he's running again in 2022.
One former member of our list, Roy Blunt, read the writing on the wall and stepped down this month. We're hoping to make it so impossible for Grassley to win that he does the same.
Let's make the Fourteen into Thirteen -- and the way we do that? Giving, right now, to launch ads against this Republican crony, reach voters with our message, register more Democrats, and expand our coalition to Defeat the Fascist Fourteen.
