Zimbabwean Catholics celebrate canonization cause for John Bradburne
by Tawanda KaromboA Mass at the Mutemwa Leprosy Center kick-started the opening of the process for beatification and canonization of John Bradburne, a lay Franciscan who was martyred in Zimbabwe in 1979.

Anti-Nazi German priest beatified as martyr
by Zita Ballinger FletcherPallottine Fr. Richard Henkes, beatified Sept. 15, spoke out against the Nazis throughout the 1930s and early '40s. He was later sent to Dachau where he died in 1945.
