** The federal eviction ban is about to expire.

The CDC moratorium on evictions is set to expire ([link removed]) at the end of March. If it's allowed to expire, that could mean millions of Americans, including thousands here in New Orleans, could lose their homes almost immediately.

You can help your vulnerable neighbors by donating ([link removed]) to the Mayor's Rental Assistance Fund.

The moratorium will likely be extended, but we can't count on it. Until the federal government makes an announcement otherwise, we have to assume that landlords will be allowed to evict tenants who are behind on rent due to the pandemic starting April 1.
