POLITICO sat down with GOP Rep. Lee Zeldin, whom many are floating as a potential challenger for New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo, and asked him whether Joe Biden won the presidential election.
“Yeah, Joe Biden's the president of the United States,” Zeldin responded.
But when the interviewer pressed him repeatedly to acknowledge Biden WON the election, Zeldin got annoyed. “Yes, and then I went on to continue an answer,” he said. “If you would like to give my answer for me, you can go ahead and do that. But I thought I was going to be here to answer my own questions.”
Should it really be this hard for a U.S. representative to give a straight answer about the results of our presidential election? For Republicans like Zeldin, the answer seems to be yes.
