Stacey Abrams didn't mince words on CNN when calling the Georgia GOP's war on voting rights what it is: “racist" and "a redux of Jim Crow in a suit and tie.”
We're grateful Abrams is directly calling the GOP out for their blatant targeting of Black voters -- to say anything less about their recent voting legislation overhaul would be an understatement.
“More people of color voted and it changed the outcome of elections in the direction Republicans do not like,” continued Abrams. Simply put, Republicans have realized they have to cheat the system to win in Georgia, and like Abrams, we're not ready to let this happen.
We're facing down one of the largest targeted mass voter suppression efforts seen in DECADES, and we've reached a pivotal time where we can choose to fold or fight harder than before.
We're choosing to fight. With your help, we overcame the GOP's suppression efforts in Georgia in 2020, and now we're ready to do it again for 2022. With so much on the line, we need to act now -- or we risk seeing a GOP-led House, Senate, and most soberingly, our democracy start to collapse.
