Exciting news: President Biden just came out in support of D.C. statehood, and the House Oversight Committee will be holding a hearing on Statehood next week.

Here at The Southern Strategy, we believe the fight for Statehood is about more than taxation without representation. Statehood is a:
  • → Voting rights issue
  • → Public health and safety issue
  • → Racial justice issue
But, we want to hear from you: Do you support D.C. Statehood?

D.C. statehood would enfranchise more than 700,000 residents, a plurality of which are Black, granting equal representation and equal voting rights.

If we are to fight back against voter suppression, we must support D.C. statehood.
