Donald Trump did more to singlehandledly destroy the U.S. immigration system than anyone in history -- slashing visa programs left and right, separating families at the border, implementing illegal policies that tied entries up in court, slowing the application system, sanctioning deportation policies en masse, and so much more.
But now, just weeks after the new administration took office, House GOP leader Kevin McCarthy had the audacity to dub the situation “Biden's border crisis.”
Republicans have done absolutely nothing to help immigrant families for years -- and now that they have a scapegoat who's not their party's standard bearer, suddenly they're all humanitarians?
President Biden has committed to fixing our immigration system, but he already has one hand tied behind his back from the shady deals the Trump administration cut at the 11th hour. In the meantime, we have to stand up to McCarthy and his allies using their own debacle for political points:
