The status quo of American health care is unacceptable. We need Medicare for All NOW.

Yesterday I joined with over 100 other House Democrats to reintroduce a bill that would extend high-quality health care to all Americans.

Add your name to our petition if you’re all in for Medicare for All. No one should have to go without health insurance.

This fight is personal to me. Unlike most of Congress, I know what it’s like to go without health insurance. I understand having to choose between seeking medical care or toughing it out because you can’t afford it.

Especially given how our communities have been impacted by COVID-19, it’s no secret that we need universal health care in this country. The American Rescue Plan covers the cost of COBRA’s short-term health insurance for people who have recently lost their jobs. That’s an important provision, but if we already had a single-payer, Medicare for All healthcare system in place, it would have cost millions of dollars less to keep people insured.

Enough is enough. I won’t stop fighting until every American has high-quality health care, regardless of their income or employment status. Please join me in this fight for Medicare for All by signing your name to our petition.

Together we can change this country for the better, but we can only do it if we stand up as a collective and say enough is enough.
