John,
I hope you will join us next Friday, March 26 for Coffee & Conversation with Legislators, where you'll get to hear directly from the powerful progressive women serving us in the NC General Assembly.
Here are just a few of the important bills your legislators have been working on:
-
The RBG Act, which stands for Remove Barriers/Gain Access to Abortion Act while also honoring the late Justice Ruth Bader Ginsberg, is co-sponsored by Rep. Vernetta Alston, Rep. Julie von Haefen, and Sen. Natalie Murdock.
-
The CROWN Act, which stands for Creating a Respectful and Open World for Natural Hair, aims to provide protection from discrimination against race-based hairstyles. The bill's primary co-sponsors are Sens. Valerie Foushee, Natalie Murdock, and DeAndrea Salvador and Reps. Vernetta Alston, Amber Baker, Carolyn Logan, and Kandie Smith.
