On January 6, members of Congress, staffers, and Capitol police found themselves under attack -- an attack that was encouraged and coordinated by then-President Trump.
But Sen. Chuck Grassley voted to acquit Trump -- solidifying himself as a member of the Fascist Fourteen senators up for re-election who enabled and excused fascism.
Now, the 87-year-old Grassley is running for re-election, and on March 22, he will hold a high-dollar fundraiser for his big money donors with Sen. Joni Ernst to kick off his campaign.
We cannot let him gain steam. The day he cast his vote to acquit, we committed to kicking him out of Washington for good. Because with Grassley in Washington, Social Security, Medicare, voting rights, and so much more are at stake.
As of December 31, Grassley had $1.8 million in the bank.
And that's just his starting point. In his last election, Grassley raised nearly $10 million.
And he knows that his seat is a target. You can be sure that he is already working with Mitch McConnell to beat his last fundraising efforts and secure his seat.
But we have a shot at beating him. There is an UNPRECEDENTED number of Republicans not seeking re-election -- signaling what we all know: after standing with a fascist in the White House, voting to overturn the election, and not supporting Biden's extremely popular COVID relief plan, the Republican Party is weak. Now is our chance to strike.
But while Chuck Grassley is holding fundraisers at $5000 per host, we are struggling to raise the funds we need to beat him. We're short $3,608 of our goal this month, and we need your support.
