This is a historic day. Today the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) was reauthorized with the amendment to make cyber exploitation a federal crime.
This victory wouldn't have been possible without the thousands of Her Time supporters who sent letters to their representatives urging them to pass this bill.
Her Time was actively involved in every step of this process -- from working closely with congressional leaders to get the cyber exploitation amendment added to mobilizing our network to pressure Congress. We're not stopping now.
This bipartisan bill will now make its way to the Senate. Even though this is our best chance for this legislation to become law, given the previous support from the President and Vice President, it still faces opposition. We need your help to ensure VAWA, with the cyber exploitation amendment, passes in the Senate.
