Federal prosecutors are revealing that what we initially thought was a protest that went out of control was actually much more sinister -- the Capitol insurrection was carefully planned by Proud Boys leaders who organized tactical groups to break into the building from several entrances.

One Proud Boys ringleader from Washington state who was profiled, and doubtless others like him, was careful to blend into the crowd, fanning out to avoid suspicion, and targeting one Capitol entrance guarded by just a few police officers, The Washington Post reports.

These men were outfitted with special radio communication gear and tactical armor -- they knew exactly what they were doing.
