Democrats promised real relief to working people hit hard by the COVID-19 pandemic, and this week we delivered by passing the American Rescue Plan.

We passed a transformative bill that sends survival checks to the American people, cuts child poverty in half, provides the money needed to safely reopen our schools, helps our essential workers, and so much more.

This bill will be transformative for working people, but we have so much more work to do.

I won’t stop fighting for a $15 minimum wage, nor will I stop fighting for Medicare for All and a Green New Deal. We need to keep showing up for working people.

This bill shows that having millions of Americans living in poverty is not unavoidable, but a policy choice that can be reversed.

We can’t become complacent. We must press forward with our bold agenda to Build Back Better. Our movement will help our country become a place where working people can thrive, not just survive.
