GOP Iowa Senator Chuck Grassley is now claiming extremism from the left led to the Capitol riot because "it's been a relatively frequent sight at summer's violence events to see individuals acting in coordination."

We're not surprised Grassley is scapegoating Black Lives Matter protesters to excuse Trump. Grassley is notorious for his mental gymnastics to blame the left for something the GOP did -- whether it's Mitch McConnell delaying COVID-relief or Donald Trump encouraging white supremacists to ransack the Capitol.

It's why he voted to acquit the disgraced ex-president not once but twice -- and why we're working to get him out for good through the Defeat the Fascist Fourteen Fund.
