Hi Friend,
I’m Scarlett, the Alliance’s Development Manager, and I’m excited to tell you about the annual Alliance Network Monthly Donor Competition. This year, I have the honor of helping administer our biggest competition yet, which starts today! In this week-long competition from September 30th to October 6th, ten of our affiliate organizations will go head to head in a match to grow their monthly donor base.
This year’s prizes from the Alliance are the highest in our history—totalling $50,000. Alliance affiliates will be competing to raise at least 1% of their annual budget in new or increased monthly donations, and every one of the participating organizations has an opportunity to win. For the first time, the Alliance is also sponsoring prizes to incentivize converting small one-time donors to sustainers, strong digital engagement, monthly donor program growth and sustainability, and more.
Who doesn’t love a bit of friendly competition?
This Alliance tradition (one of our favorites!) is about more than just raising funds. We work year-round on supporting affiliates to become healthy organizations. Growing a consistent individual donor base made up of members in our community who believe in our work is key to making that happen. Alliance affiliates are rooted in grassroots communities and its crucial for the communities we serve to take ownership of our organizations and movements.
