We won the White House, kept the House of Representatives, and took the majority in the Senate by running on a bold, progressive agenda to confront the crises we’re facing.

A $7.25/hour minimum wage in the year 2021 is a slap in the face to the American worker. A $15 minimum wage is supported by a vast majority of Americans, but the filibuster keeps it from being a reality.

Democrats in the Senate majority represent 41 million more people than Republicans. The only reason we are not legislating like it is because of the filibuster.

Every day we keep the filibuster intact, we’re giving a veto to the gun manufacturers, the pharmaceutical companies, the health insurance industry, and oil and gas companies.

Here’s the truth: If we don’t eliminate the filibuster, we can’t make progress on immigration, police reform, democracy reform, climate change, the minimum wage, gun violence prevention, or any other of our popular progressive ideas.
