Friends,
I am going to be blunt — we’re in big trouble.
House Democrats hold a 221 to 211 seat edge right now. A razor-thin majority that could easily change if Republicans flip 6 seats in 2022.
The National Republican Congressional Committee is going all out with a plan that targets 47 vulnerable Democratic incumbent seats. What’s their gameplan? Use the redistricting process to their advantage — and steal the House and Senate majority.
But here’s the bigger problem — Republicans can get away with it. They have control of the redistricting process across several key battleground states this year (18 to be exact) including Florida, Georgia, Texas, and North Carolina.
And Republican governors like Ron Desantis from Florida and Brian Kemp from Georgia have made it clear that they’re willing to disenfranchise millions of Black and brown voters to keep Republicans in power.
In short — if we don’t step up and start fighting now, we can kiss our Democratic majority goodbye.
