I'm just back from a day out on the trail, spending time with our fellow Texans in Burnet County, meeting with Republicans, Democrats, independents, non-voters --  because I want to be the best representative I can for this district and that means showing up everywhere and listening to everyone.

But I wanted to give you an update on our goal before we head in to tomorrow and before I turned in for the night. Since we announced our goal on Tuesday:
  • We've raised $19,725 online
  • 260 of y'all have stepped up to contribute
  • Our average contribution over these last 5 days has been $75.86 
Those are fantastic numbers, and it shows that this campaign has real grassroots support.

But we've got to keep pushing all the way towards our goal before midnight tomorrow night.

If you've been waiting to contribute, now's the time. From $25 to $2500, it all helps us build the organizing infrastructure it'll take to win. I wouldn't be asking if it wasn't important.

I'm so proud of our team.

We knew that our goal was ambitious. But that's the kind of ambition it's going to take if we're going to to register and turn out more Democratic voters than any Congressional campaign in Texas history.
