This week, Democrats in Congress
advanced our $1.9 trillion COVID-19 relief package; assisted Texans in
the wake of the winter storm and energy crisis that has displaced
millions; and held the first public hearings on the Capitol
insurrection on January 6th.
Yet, the GOP is only focused on
one thing -- CPAC.
Today, the annual Conservative Political
Action Conference (CPAC) will begin in Orlando, Florida. And for an
event that boasts “the best and brightest leaders in the world,” you’d
think they’d have the sense to not hold massive, in-person, likely
maskless gatherings in the middle of a pandemic. But, no -- of all the
challenges that our nation is facing, provoking outrage and decrying
non-existent “cancel culture” for four straight days is apparently too
important.
Twice-impeached Donald Trump, the reprehensible
Devin Nunes, extremist Lauren Boebert -- they’ll all be there. This is
the Republican Party. This is what we’re up against. This is what we
need to defeat. Will
