This week, Abigail and her colleagues in the House of Representatives will vote on the Equality Act, which would protect members of the LGBTQ+ community from discrimination in the workforce, housing, and education.

Every American deserves to be treated equally under the law.

Abigail is supporting the Equality Act because she is committed to strengthening protections for LGBTQ+ people in Central Virginia and across the country.

In 2019, Abigail cosponsored and helped pass the Equality Act, but it was never passed by the Senate before the term expired. Now, we have another chance to pass this important legislation in the current Congress.

We hope other members of Congress will stand with Abigail to pass the Equality Act into law, because everyone deserves to be treated with dignity and is entitled to equal rights under the law.
