Folks across Texas are still struggling to recover from the winter storm that brought historic freezing temperatures, snow, and ice to the state last week. Many homes are still without safe drinking water, and families are struggling to access food and other necessary supplies.
Temperatures are rising, but the crisis is far from over. Communities are just beginning to assess the damage wrought by the unprecedented winter weather, with vulnerable populations like the unhoused bearing the brunt of what will likely be a long-term crisis and recovery period.
