This week millions of Texans lost their power, their running water, and their heat in the middle of a winter storm unlike any Texas has seen in years.

Our state leadership failed to prepare for this storm, failed to quickly respond to the crisis, and has failed to take blame for their catastrophic mismanagement. After a year of suffering through the pandemic and failed leadership from our state government, Texans are experiencing a once-in-a-generation storm. The power outages are disproportionately hurting the poorest and most vulnerable Texans, and it’s not clear how long this could last.
