FIRST: Here at The Southern Strategy, we made it clear an impeachment vote in the Senate was absolutely necessary. We would not stand for allowing threats to our democracy without facing consequences.

THEN: All but 7 Republicans voted to acquit Trump on incitement of insurrection, choosing their party over their country — unsurprising, but still disappointing.
