In just his first few weeks in office, Joe Biden has been busy. He has prioritized COVID-19 relief, repealed Trump’s ban on transgender Americans serving in the military and the Muslim ban, put us back in the Paris climate agreement and the World Health Organization, and so much more.

He’s also started work with Congress on immigration reform and raising the minimum wage. And I have to say: Isn’t it great to have a President who keeps his promises and puts the American people first?

These early actions are a sign of the great things to come over the next four years – but we need to make sure the Biden agenda has a chance to succeed. And we can’t do that unless we defend our House and Senate majorities going into 2022.

The 2022 election will be here before we know it, and Republicans will pull out all the stops to flip Congress red. Their narrow losses in 2020 and again in Georgia just a month ago will only embolden the GOP to pull out all their old tricks: Voter suppression, fake news, and right-wing conspiracies.

President Biden’s executive actions are just the start of what could be a transformative four years. But with the thin majorities in the House and Senate we have now, we can’t afford to lose any seats – so it’s crucial we protect every single Democrat from Day 1.
