43 million Americans are renters -- and the GOP is trying to leave all of them vulnerable to evictions during this health and economic crisis.
Per the Washington Post, “An estimated 11.3 million households in the country are behind on rent or won't be able to pay next month according to the Census Bureau.”
Joe Biden just extended the federal eviction moratorium by two months, and the rental assistance in his $1.9 trillion relief plan, he said, is essential “to keep people in their homes rather than being thrown out in the street.”
But the GOP isn't about to let such a critical relief package pass quietly. Their corporate landlord and developer friends are filling up their campaign accounts, and they're doing everything they can to slash Biden's plan of much-needed aid.
