Hi friend,
Far-right Trump loyalist Rep. Lauren Boebert "paid herself more than $22,000 in mileage reimbursements from her campaign account last year," per The Denver Post. "Boebert's campaign defends the reimbursements but three ethics experts who reviewed the money transfers for The Denver Post say they raise questions."
Less than two weeks before her election, Boebert paid off the last of nearly $20,000 in state tax liens that had accumulated on her gun-themed restaurant since 2016, according to a report from the Colorado Newsline.
Although no formal complaints about Boebert's reimbursements have been publicly reported, both the Federal Elections Committee and the Office of Congressional Ethics would have jurisdiction over such complaints if there was a violation.
