House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy has something he wants us to understand about the insurrection at the Capitol earlier this month:
“We all have some responsibility here.”
… This is an interesting take from someone who, as The Washington Post notes, “was among the Republicans who had spread false claims of widespread presidential election fraud for weeks” leading up to the incident.
By propagating the president's outrageous lies, Kevin McCarthy, Josh Hawley, Ted Cruz, and their allies should carry the blame for the events of January 6 -- no matter how much they try to deflect responsibility.
And we at When Democrats Turn Out think they need to be held accountable for their crimes.
