House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy paid Donald Trump a visit in Mar-a-Lago on January 28, where they apparently discussed how Republicans could win the House majority in 2022.
Kevin -- really? You couldn't go a little more than a week without cavorting with your old boss?
We shouldn't be surprised. McCarthy's been covering for Trump for weeks, having recently denied that the former president played any role in inciting the riot on January 6. Maybe McCarthy doesn't remember when he himself was forced to flee the chamber and run for cover when bloodthirsty insurrectionists stormed the Capitol, saying they were “answering the call of my president.”
