Take action for refugees.

Dear John,

Last night, the Trump Administration announced its plan to lower the number of refugees admitted to the U.S. in 2020 to a shameful new low.

With the stroke of a pen, President Trump plans to slash refugee admissions to just 18,000, despite the fact that globally we face the largest refugee crisis in history. Worse, the administration issued an executive order that for the first time will allow governors and municipalities to veto refugee resettlement in their communities.

Tell your Members of Congress to speak out urgently.

The proposed number is the lowest in the 40-year history of the U.S. resettlement program. In fact, the average ceiling has been 95,000 since 1980.

Behind each of the numbers is a person who deserves safety, respect, and freedom — and for whom the doors of our country are slamming shut. President Trump is stoking fear, rather than showing strength, and putting tens of thousands of people at risk in the process.

There is still time to reverse this. Click here to tell your Member of Congress to speak out now.

Thank you for taking action,

Mark Hetfield
