Your kids are always watching. They see you when hold your spouse and tell them you love them and they see you when you throw your shovel down and curse the plow undoing all that hard work. We all have good and bad behaviors. But if we don’t recognize the not-so-great ones, your little one will — and they will, guaranteed, take for granted that this is just the way people act. The truth is, you can’t correct them without correcting yourself. As the G.I. Joe’s always reminded us: “Knowing is half the battle.” And hey, if it worked when Snow Job warned those kids about the dangers of frozen lakes, it’ll help you be more mindful of modeling the right behaviors.
