I hope you and your family are staying safe and healthy in the new year. As we all know first hand, 2020 took a devastating toll on families across this country. And though many struggles are still ongoing, we have something to celebrate: Congress is getting to work!
When I founded HER Time, it was to elect candidates because of what they would do with their power once elected. Many HER Time candidates are now in elected office, and they are ready to legislate.
I am so excited to announce the HER Time legislative agenda for 2021, much of which passed in the House when I was serving, only to stall in the Senate with Mitch McConnell in power. Now that we took back the Senate and the Presidency, it's time to act.

Authorizing the Violence Against Women Act
All of these priorities uniquely and directly impact women across this country. And, there is momentum behind many of them already. Keep an eye out for our updates, petitions, and opportunities to engage as this legislation is introduced in Congress. In fact, we expect two important pieces of legislation to be announced this week!
Our power is through our collective voices. Together, we can create a more just and equitable country for everyone. I look forward to working with you to make that happen.
