More direct cash payments. Enhanced unemployment aid. Rental assistance and an eviction moratorium. More money for child care and child tax credits. Aid for small businesses, states, and schools. A $15 hourly minimum wage.

Republicans have put forth a plan that slashes funding in the majority of these buckets – and completely cuts support for local governments, a raise to the minimum wage, and much more. It’s simply not enough to help our economy recover and to get American families and businesses back on their feet.

The Biden administration inherited a mess from the previous administration – and they are acting swiftly to save lives and livelihoods while the vaccine is distributed and we finally get the pandemic under control.

The rich got richer during the pandemic, while millions of Americans struggled with unemployment, food and housing insecurity, and health care costs. And now, even with Trump no longer in the White House, Republicans are still refusing to acknowledge the magnitude of the crisis we are facing.
