I’ll be honest, friend —

September has been our worst fundraising month all year.

That’s not supposed to happen.

Energy and momentum are supposed to tick up starting in September, but look at these numbers my team sent me today:

• Our total raised for September is 55.89% less than our total raised last month
• The number of grassroots donors has decreased by 33.86%
• The money raised from emails just like is nearly half of what it usually is

These are our real fundraising numbers, friend. We’re farther behind than any of us expected to be at this point in the year.

Our critical end-of-quarter deadline is on Monday and this is our last chance to bump up these numbers. Would you consider making a donation of $5 or more? If enough people step up, I’m confident we can get back on track for the quarter.

Every dollar you give keeps me on the campaign trail helping to elect Democrats across the country in tough races. But if our numbers stay like this, I’ll be forced to focus on fundraising instead — and trust me, I do not want to do that.

What we report to the FEC on Monday, and what Republicans will get to see, are not just a bunch of numbers: they’re a sign of how strong our grassroots movement is.

I know a lot of us are facing immeasurable challenges right now. We’re in the midst of impeachment, and Trump’s harmful agenda has threatened so many families across this country. Plus, Republicans just give him a free pass for all of his right-wing policies, attacks on our fundamental rights, and erosion of democracy without a care in the world who gets hurt.

That’s why it’s so important we kick as many Republicans out of office as we can come 2020. I’m committed to electing Democrats up and down the ballot and fighting for the issues everyday Americans care about, but I need your help:
