Hi Friend, From grocery stores and hospitals to food production lines and farms, immigrants have been crucial to our country’s recovery during the pandemic. More than five million undocumented people are essential workers, all of whom brave the worst exposure to the coronavirus but receive none of the support they deserve such as health insurance, financial relief, and other worker protections. Essential workers have exposed themselves and their loved ones to COVID-19, and have disproportionately experienced illnesses and deaths wrought by the coronavirus. The risks they have borne and the contributions to the common good they have made have yet to be fully acknowledged by our society. Congress must pass a pathway to citizenship for undocumented essential workers. We need your help. Congress is negotiating another COVID-19 economic recovery package and we have only a few short weeks to organize and win a pathway to citizenship for essential workers. Here’s how you can take action this week: We are powerful when we act together. Together, we will win family unity, belonging, and freedom for all people in our communities. |
