After years of the Trump administration's stalling, President Biden is restarting the effort to put Harriet Tubman, the hero of the Underground Railroad, on the $20 bill.
Donald Trump was no supporter of the proposal, calling it “pure political correctness” and fawning instead over the $20 bill's current figurehead, Andrew Jackson, a genocidal murderer who owned hundreds of slaves and worked to wipe out scores of indigenous people.
The effort to replace Jackson with Tubman was sidelined by Trump lackey Steve Mnuchin, who tried to delay the introduction of new bills to 2028. Do you think it deserves a little more effort? Let us know:
