Hi friend,
Unlike Sean Spicer, Sarah Huckabee Sanders, or Kayleigh McEnany, the new White House press secretary Jennifer Psaki is bringing competency and composure -- not circus theatrics -- back to the White House briefing room.
“The White House press secretary, Jennifer Psaki, arrived in the briefing room on Wednesday night for the first time, wearing two masks,” wrote the New York Times, “promising to bring ‘truth and transparency' to her exchanges with the news media, and taking questions from almost every reporter -- even a correspondent from Fox News.”
Psaki promised us daily briefings and announced COVID-19 briefings with scientific experts that will likely occur three times a week.
But the GOP is already attacking Psaki for her level head and respect for experts. Fox News commentator Sean Hannity criticized Psaki for deferring to national security officials when asked about potential violence in Portland, Oregon.
After years of the Trump administration using the briefing room podium as a platform to spew propaganda, building trust in our government is more crucial than ever. That's why we're asking supporters like you:
Do you support Press Secretary Jennifer Psaki?
Thanks for sharing your thoughts with us as we work towards a government that prioritizes truth over pride.
