Dear Comrades,

Here are a few reminders about ways that you can get more information, get
involved and take action on ecosocialism focused campaigns across the state
and locally.

1. Tonight is the second in a webinar series from Boston DSA's Take Back
The Grid campaign.

"If you’re having trouble paying your bills right now, you’re certainly not
alone! Utility debt has ballooned over the past year. Thousands of families
have been dealing with unemployment, and having to choose between paying
rent, putting food on the table, or paying their utility bills. Utility
debt and shutoffs are not a new issue for MA residents, and they expose the
weaknesses of our system of investor-owned utilities. Energy should be a
common good. As the April 1 utility shutoff moratorium comes closer, we
demand utility debt relief in the short term and energy democracy in the
long term." From Boston DSA

Join Boston DSA's Ecosocialism Working Group's webinar on Utility Debt
Relief and the Pandemic, *TONIGHT, Thursday 1/28 at 7-8:30 pm.* We’ll talk
about how COVID’s impact on utility debt, and touch on existing programs
for debt relief. With a guest presentation from new state representative
Erika Uyterhoeven (Somerville, 27th Middlesex), we will present just energy
solutions that prioritize the needs of MA residents.

Compressor Station (South Shore of Massachusetts. Click here to post a
comment.
