Dear John, 

The January 6 attack on our Capitol by a white supremacist president and his neo-Nazi supporters who refused to accept the election results further demonstrated the urgency of reforming our democracy. With a new administration and new Congress, now is our chance to get the job done.

We have a chance to take the first steps by passing the "For The People Act," the most sweeping set of democratic reforms in a generation—but to succeed, we need your help.

Tell your Member of Congress to pass the For the People Act. 

If passed, the For the People Act would:

• increase fair access to the ballot box, making it easier, not harder to vote;
• end the dominance of big money in politics; and
• ensure public officials work in the interest of the public.

President Biden stated that a “first priority” of his administration will be democracy solutions like those in the For the People Act—and both the House and the Senate introduced this bill as their first order of business in the new Congress.

It’s time to finish the job and move our country forward to finally live up to its democratic ideals. But it’s up to us to get ALL of our own Representatives and Senators to support this legislation and ensure it gets passed into law.
