As early as this week, the Biden administration is expected to take executive action to rebuild and restart the U.S. Refugee Admissions Program. This is our moment to ask them to restore America’s historic legacy as a nation that welcomes refugees.
Ask the Biden administration to raise refugee admissions to 125,000.
The previous administration severely damaged this country’s ability to welcome refugees, lowering admissions by 80% and dismantling the infrastructure of the refugee program itself. There is now a significant amount of work that must be done to protect refugees, and we need to get started as soon as possible.
We need your help in restoring the refugee resettlement program. Please take a moment to send a message to President Biden asking him to affirm the commitments he has made to refugees, and raise the 2021 refugee admissions cap to 125,000.
