Let Families Decide

What to Know: It’s School Choice Week, just as some public school teacher unions are refusing to return to school. ([link removed] )

The TPPF Take: Expanding the choices for Texas families is part of TPPF’s Liberty Action Agenda.

“There’s much we can do now to help our kids to brighter futures,” says TPPF’s Emily Sass. “It begins by recognizing that schools aren’t ‘super-spreaders.’ It’s vital to ensure that schools are open and stay open, safely, so students who are ready can access instruction. We should also allow remote learning for those students who prefer it. We must give families more choices, not fewer.”

‘Pausing’ Prosperity

The TPPF Take: It’s more important than ever that Texas work to protect its oil and gas industry.

“Biden’s energy plans are bad for our national security, economy, public health, and overall quality of life,” says TPPF’s Jason Isaac. “But thanks to the ingenuity and creativity of the American people, the future of our nation will remain bright — so long as we recognize the critical role of energy in our lives and hold our elected officials accountable.”

The Consequences of Debt

What to Know: The national debt tops $28 trillion as President Biden readies new spending initiatives. ([link removed] )

The TPPF Take: We can’t ignore the consequences of unsustainable national debt.

“A crushing burden of debt, fiscal instability and a weakening dollar is not the legacy I want to leave to my children,” says TPPF’s Kevin Roberts. “It’s time we chart a path to long-term economic and national security for America.”

The national debt will be the topic of our Stewardship Series livestream event beginning at 1 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 29. To learn more, click here.
