This year we'll be hosting a series of free virtual panels. We're excited to kickoff the series with A Celebration of Black Women in Politics on February 18th from 7-8PM. Hosting this panel is former 2020 Featured Candidate, former Wake County Commissioner, and Lillian's List new Director of Local Engagement Jessica Holmes. We're so excited to have her on our team!

Joining Jessica on the panel are three former 2020 Featured Candidates: Former Rep. Yvonne Holley, Sen. Sydney Batch, and Aimy Steele.

North Carolina has a rich history of Black women being influential in our progressive movement. From voters to members of the North Carolina Supreme Court, Black women are key to protecting and advancing reproductive rights and gender equity in North Carolina. At the same time we know that Black women in politics face racial and gender discrimination that that other candidates don't deal with. We're looking forward to having a rich conversation about Black women in politics with some of our 2020 candidates and we hope you'll join us!
