With Biden in the White House, bold, comprehensive immigration reform is on the table -- and Republicans in Congress are going to go all in to slash these plans.

Per NPR, President-elect Joe Biden sent a sweeping immigration proposal to Congress after he was sworn into office on Wednesday, "a bill that would provide a path to citizenship for an estimated 11 million undocumented immigrants living in the United States."

"The proposal would need to be approved by Congress, which balked at similar reforms proposed by former President Barack Obama in 2013."

We have a chance to create a fast-track to citizenship for DREAMers. We have a chance to protect the farmworkers who keep our country fed and the war refugees searching for peace and freedom. We have a chance to pave a clear pathway to citizenship for undocumented people across the country.

But the GOP is always determined to further their xenophobic, racist agenda, and they will do everything to uphold the cruel detention and deportation machine that they've aggressively expanded during the past four years.
