Now that the inauguration is over, President Biden and Vice President Harris have the enormous task of building this country back better.

And one of the top priorities of the new administration is taking action on gun safety. Giffords has worked with the administration to identify executive actions that can be taken immediately to make our communities safer, but we are still going to need Congress to step up.

The House needs to reintroduce the bipartisan universal background check bill and send it to the Senate so we can get it in front of President Biden immediately.

If enough of us speak up, it’ll send an undeniable message to Congress that the American people are demanding action on gun safety. We can’t miss this opportunity, so we have to ask:

Will you sign on today and demand that Congress pass universal background checks? The more people who sign on, the more momentum we will have to get Congress to act now.
