Hi there,

The Washington Post: “The arrival of Doug Emhoff in Washington, alongside his wife, Vice President Kamala D. Harris, upends two and a half centuries of American precedent and morphs the ‘what-ifs' of previous men who might have become presidential or vice-presidential spouses into ‘what-now?'”

While Kamala Harris is breaking barriers as the first-ever woman vice president, her husband Doug, as the Post reports, “gets to define a role that was merely another era's awkward possibility but now seems much less unusual in a nation where gender roles aren't so fixed anymore.”

So far, Emhoff has been vague about plans for his official duties -- probably because his new role has a minefield of gendered expectations. That's why we want to know what you think:

Do you support the Second Gentleman?

Thank you for weighing in on this happily historic moment.
