It’s official — President Biden and Vice President Harris have been sworn in. We won both Georgia Senate seats and have taken back the majority. And we have the most progressive House majority in history.

We have a mandate to pass bold policies that provide opportunity for all Americans and help build our country back better than it has ever been.

In these critical first few weeks of the Biden Administration, here’s what I’m fighting for:

1. We need to deliver on our promise to send $2,000 in direct cash payments to the American people, immediately. These aren’t “stimulus” checks — they’re survival checks. Working Americans have been struggling and cannot afford to wait any longer.
2. We must reform our election system and preserve the integrity of our democracy. It is urgent that we expand ballot access through automatic voter registration, end partisan gerrymandering, and pass the John R. Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act.
3. We must develop a comprehensive plan to distribute COVID vaccines and end the pandemic once and for all — but we also must pass Medicare for All. We must guarantee high-quality health care for all Americans, especially in the midst of the pandemic.
4. There must be consequences for members of Congress who were co-conspirators in the attempted coup on January 6th. We cannot have unity without accountability. These traitorous members pose grave danger to their colleagues and have violated their oath to protect our nation.

This is just scratching the surface for all that we can — and must — accomplish with Democratic control of our federal government.

A coalition of working people, people of color, and young people elected us into the majority. Now we must deliver.
