Today we welcome our new President and Vice President to the White House. Congratulations to Joe Biden and Kamala Harris on this historic day!

It may not be the celebration we were hoping for, but I cannot help but feel like fresh energy is blowing into Washington today, despite the many crises we face.

We will now have a President who will lead with empathy, who will put science and facts first, and who will work on behalf of ALL Americans. And Kamala Harris is our first woman, first Black woman, and first Indian-American to serve as Vice President.

We all have our work cut out for us – to investigate the crimes and corruption of the previous Administration and hold those who have put our safety and our democracy at risk accountable, to rein in the COVID-19 pandemic and ensure the safe delivery of the vaccine, to build back our economy, to ensure civil rights and justice for all, to save our planet for this generation and the next… the list goes on and on!

But I’m ready to get to work with the Biden-Harris Administration on these issues and more. My colleagues and I in the House will get right to work passing Biden’s progressive agenda and begin rebuilding our institutions, and our democracy itself.

I hope you’ll join me in these efforts by becoming a Founding Donor of our next campaign. We’ll be fighting to save our House Majority in addition to critical legislative work, and your support is necessary to push forward in this new era.
